Travel Teams

The Bradley Baseball Academy is a year-round organization that offers travel teams during all three baseball seasons–Fall, Spring & Summer. The number of teams we field varies with each season and players must tryout to receive an offer to play on one of our teams. We hold multiple tryouts throughout the year, and this page will be updated regularly as tryout information becomes available. All of our teams participate in optional Friday Night Skills Training, which focuses heavily on fundamental drill work to improve and prepare for the upcoming weekend’s games. Additionally, all of our teams will participate in local tournaments with some teams traveling to be a part of larger regional tournaments.

Fall Season – Late August thru October

We typically field approximately four 13/14u teams, two high school teams, and one all academic showcase team for a total of seven rosters. The fall season tends to the season with the least activities as we focus heavily on off-season fundamentals and allow many of our student athletes to take advantage of playing an additional sport.

13/14u Weekly Schedule: 1 midweek activity, Friday Night Skills Training, Saturday Double Header, Sunday Individual Workouts

High School Weekly Schedule: Friday Night Skills Training, 1 weekend practice & weekend Double Header

Spring Season – Mid March thru Mid May

We typically field approximately four 13/14u teams for the fall season while the rest of our athletes play for their high school clubs. The spring season begins in mid-February optional indoor workouts at Tysons Bullpen.

13/14u Weekly Schedule: 1 midweek activity, Friday Night Skills Training, Weekend Double Header

Summer Season – Late May thru July

We typically field approximately four 13/14u teams, two high school teams, one all academic showcase team, and one collegiate team for a total of eight rosters. For more information on the all academic showcase and collegiate teams, please visit their respective pages in the menu above. The summer season is the the busiest for the BBA and requires the most commitment from our players with more weekly activities and a heavier tournament focus.

Skills Development Squad

Each season we invite 13u and 14u players who do not quite make the cut for our travel teams to join our Skills Development Squad. This team receives the same professional BBA coaching and is allowed to attend all Friday Night Skills Trainings. Additionally, this squad will have its own dedicated coach who will work with these players to develop their skills at the weekly practices of the 13u and 14u teams. While this team does not play any games, they are an extension of our BBA family and our goal is to help them improve in every aspect of the game to earn a spot on one of our travel teams at the next tryout.
